Dare Mighty Things!
Remind yourself to Dare Mighty Things every day with this hard enamel pin depicting the Mars Perseverance Rover's landing parachute and its secret binary encoded message.
We have Landed!
On February 18, 2021, NASA and the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) used the world's coolest supersonic parachute to land the Perseverance rover on the surface of Mars.
As if that wasn't achievement enough, those wonderful tricksters at JPL put an encoded secret message in the pattern of the parachute.
The parachute had a red and white pattern - which was a message in binary code that read: Dare Mighty Things on the inner rings. (Which is JPL's motto). And the outer ring says: JPL: 34°11’58” N 118°10’31” W. Which is the geolocation coordinates for the JPL Lab.
Perfect for backpacks, bags, and jackets.
Great gift for lovers of space exploration, science fiction, mars, NASA, JPL, astronomy, science, computer science, and engineering.
Fun as a teacher's gift.
Makes a great stocking stuffer.
